This spicy burger recipe is sure to satisfy! It’s piled high with pepper jack cheese, crunchy slaw, avocado slices, and a creamy chipotle sauce on a ciabatta bun that will have you asking for more, please.
Over the years, I’ve grown to appreciate heat as a flavor profile. There used to be a time where I wouldn’t consider eating a burger like this but nowadays, I’ve learned that spicy is a craving that must be met, just like sweet and savory are.
I compiled this burger with heat, creaminess, and crunch to make the bite satisfying on multiple notes. This burger is spicy, but if you are looking for an even bigger spicy punch, I give you suggestions for that, too, below.
This post is about how to make a chipotle spicy burger recipe.
To make this recipe, you will need:
Firstly, make the patties. I like to form the patties, season them with salt and pepper and then grill, bake (Easy Baked Hamburger Patties) or pan-fry them (Juicy Stovetop Burger Recipe). Once they are cooked, be sure to add a slice of pepper jack cheese on top and let it melt.
Note: If you would like a spicier burger, you can mix in chopped jalapenos to the patties before cooking.
Next, lightly toast the ciabatta buns and start assembling the burger.
And there you have it, a delicious burger just waiting to be devoured!
These sides would go great with this burger:

Put all the chipotle sauce ingredients in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth and creamy.
Store any leftovers in an airtight jar in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
*If you want an extra spicy burger, chop the optional jalapenos and mix them into the ground beef.
Divide the ground beef into 4 equal portions. Flatten them and sprinkle each one with salt and pepper.
Grill, bake or pan-fry the patties. See notes.
Once they are cooked, add a slice of pepper jack cheese on top and let it melt.
It's time to assemble the burger. Lightly toast the ciabatta buns.
Spread mayo on the bottom bun.
Layer on the sliced avocado, the patty with the melted cheese, and coleslaw mix or shredded cabbage.
Spoon on a generous serving of creamy chipotle sauce. Place the top bun. Enjoy!
How should I cook the beef patties?
You can grill them, bake them with this recipe: Easy Baked Hamburger Patties, or pan-fry them with this recipe: Juicy Stovetop Burger Recipe.
